EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES at Feline Medical Care Center
We are looking for the BEST in the field to join our staff.  Are you curious?  Do you have a great sense of humor?  Do you have a magical touch with cats and do you truly enjoy working with your clients?
Are you excited about your choice of profession?

You spend more than a third of your time at work, so why not choose a place where you are considered the most valuable asset of your employer!  Come grow with us in an environment where mutual respect is our standard, and where we encourage mentoring on all levels.  Here, you are safe to develop your special skills and achieve a healthy work-life balance.

We are always pleased to accept resumes from enthusiastic, hard working, dependable, self-starters who wish to join our team of veterinary health care professionals.

HEAD OF NURSING

This position entails supervision of and overseeing consistency in delivery of services for all aspects of patient care and daily operations in the medical arena.   Working in conjunction with the Client Service Coordinator, you will oversee comprehensive training of all staff in each area of medical care and case management.  Because our entire staff works closely with clients to develop long term wellness plans, you will also take part in developing protocols as well as reviewing cases and case follow-up with our doctors.  This is an exciting 'think-on-your-feet' position for the committed licensed technician who enjoys multitasking and daily variety, and already has a proven track record of developing and utilizing leadership and management skills.

VETERINARY TECHNICIANS (LICENSED)

All of our staff serve as liaisons between our doctors and clients.  In addition to strong technical talent, we look for individuals who have unsurpassed communication skills and can discuss feline medicine with great confidence.  Our technicians are able to reach beyond the basics and discuss wellness care, procedures, and management of chronic illness with our clients.  Full knowledge of products dispensed, a strong sense of our clients' needs, and full involvement in all levels of patient care are a must.

CLIENT SERVICE/ADMINISTRATIVE

Responsibilities include hospitality, scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, setting up new clients and patients, admitting and discharging patients, over the counter sales, mailings, computer operation, financial transactions, filing, and front office and reception area maintenance.  Client Service will assume the responsibility for learning the medical and legal information necessary for the performance of their duties.  You also must demonstrate exceptional computer skills.  In this position, you are challenged to accomplish these tasks almost simultaneously.   The ability to transition our clients smoothly from reception to exam room to release is considered an art form here.

VETERINARY ASSISTANTS

Our veterinary assistants are responsible for client communication, medical procedures, hospital maintenance, assisting the doctors and technicians, laboratory procedures, radiology, operation and maintenance of instruments and equipment, daily treatment of hospitalized patients, rehabilitation, assisting in with in-patient and out-patient cases, and maintenance of the OSHA and Hazardous Materials programs.  This position allows you to grow and develop through different 'levels' as veterinary assistant.  Don't be afraid of becoming stagnant in your role as assistant here.  You can advance as far as you wish if you have the commitment to take advantage of learning opportunities both in-house and outside of the practice.  We also offer full and partial scholarships/tuition reimbursement to those who wish to work toward becoming licensed technicians.
